Descripción:The study is part of the Frasyfácil Project (Phraseology and Easy Reading) of the Phraseology and Multilingual Translation Group (FRASYTRAM, for its acronym in Spanish) at the University of Alicante, Spain. It draws on plain language (PL) standards to address the lack of resources regarding the adaptation and integration of accessibility to phraseological units (PUs), given their high frequency of use and the diverse pragmatic-discursive functions they perform in journalistic and advertising texts, and in leisure and entertainment media products. The paper presents the adaptation of five zoomorphic PUs into PL, each illustrated with an example from informative texts in Cuban Spanish, using the UNE-ISO 24495-1:2024 standard as a reference framework. In doing so, it analyzes and outlines strategies that facilitate the transfer of PUs into PL, thereby promoting inclusion and the effective comprehension of phraseological content.
