Descripción:The purpose of this presentation is to show the results of a study in order to address three issues regarding language teaching methodologies in Costa Rica. First, what are the similarities and differences of language teaching and learning processes between a traditional classroom and using technology in the class? Second, are there any changes in the roles of teachers and students when they are in a different teaching environment from traditional classroom? Lastly, how to fulfill the need of research studies that point out the benefits of implementing the use of technological resources when teaching a foreign language in Costa Rica? Finding the answers to these issues may diminish the gap that prevails in some teachers and institutions in regards the use of technology in the language class.
