Descripción:The aim of this essay concerns the identification of ethical uses of artificial intelligence (AI) for teachers in the performance of their work. A review of this technology, relevant to the educational context, is carried out, in which its value for the proper exercise of professional competencies in planning, instruction, and assessment is considered. The essay is conducted through a qualitative analysis of bibliographic sources. These respond to criteria of currency, given the nature of the object of study. The essay concludes that AI offers benefits such as time saving, the integration of pedagogical processes, and diversification, mainly in the processes related to instruction and planning. Limitations for teachers when the use of AI does not offer advantages over pre-existing tools, particularly evident in assessment processes are identified.
