“I learn at home”: An emerging strategy to enhance the right to education during times of pandemic.

Descripción:This article addresses the educational strategy “I learn at home” developed and implemented in Costa Rica in 2020 as a response from the Ministry of Public Education to supply educational work during the crisis period in the face of the global pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus. The purpose of the article is to present this emerging strategy as it ensures the inalienable right to education. As part of the study and using the Google Forms platform, an online questionnaire was administered to 141 Basic General Education teachers from the seven provinces of the country, with the aim of knowing the teachers’ opinion on the application and the implications of the strategy “I learn at home”. The article presents the results from the analysis of the investigation carried out, some conclusions derived from the discussion of results and finally some reflections on these results. It is concluded that the Costa Rican teaching body although confronted with many challenges has managed to face the demands of the implementation of the educational strategy at times of the pandemic crisis in order to give continuity to the right to education in the country.
