| Disgrifiad: | The research was conducted in the Huetar Norte Region, with the aim of designing a model to assess competitiveness in lodging companies holding the Certificate of Sustainable Tourism (CST). This model is based on the international standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. A mixed methodology was employed, beginning with the characterization of the companies and the application of an assessment tool. The hotels meet 84% of the normative requirements, yet they also highlight areas of dissatisfaction: formal definition of processes, interactions and controls, and the lack of self-assessments. The model is replicable. |
