Descripción: | Because it is a recent genre, teenage literature has been seldom used to teach Spanish. However, this literature is a tool available to teachers of Spanish to bring youngsters closer to reading because its topics, style and relation with their reality supply the necessary attraction to ignite the pleasure of reading in teen students. Los ojos del perro siberiano by Antonio Santa Ana, Eso no me lo quita nadie, by Ana María Machado and El niño y el Río by Henri Bosco, are three books belonging to this genre that are currently among the texts for seventh grade that can be read in the classroom under the teacher's guide. Working with these books in the classroom opens a door for youngsters to build their reading skills and their pleasure to read. |
